The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a non-profit organization created by the U.S. Congress to help families and fire departments when a firefighter dies. Completion of the site redesign was scheduled for October 2001 but was finished and launched just days after the Sept. 11 attacks to help survivors and victims of the attacks.
